INFORMATION SESSION ON NON-INTERFERENCE IN ELECTORAL PROCESS HELD IN GANJA, AZERBAIJAN
An information session on non-interference in the electoral process was held Friday in Ganja city of Azerbaijan involving the executives and election authorities of 26 zonal districts.
The event was organized by the OSCE Office in Baku in close cooperation with Azerbaijan President`s Office and the Central Election Commission (CEC).
At the event, heads of regional executive authorities and chairmen of constituency election commissions were briefed on the newly amended Electoral Code and its provisions on non-interference in the electoral process.
Deputy Head of OSCE Office in Baku Alexis Chahtahtinsky spoke of the main principles of transparent elections, as well as the importance of non-interference in the electoral process.
Official of the President`s Office Janpolad Musayev and CEC member Gabil Orucov briefed on the reforms on democratizing the election process in Azerbaijan, gave methodical instructions to promote fair elections.
The attendees also heard a report delivered by CEC member Tofig Hasanov.
