INTERIOR MINISTER OF AZERBAIJAN VISITING TURKEY
Greeting at the Esenboga airport his colleague from Azerbaijan, later, Mr. Agsu received the delegation in the Ministry. The Turkish Minister, in particular, said: “As has noted the outstanding statesman and politician Heydar Aliyev, cooperation in the field of safety between Azerbaijan and Turkey and people of two countries, being “one nation - two states”, has risen on a high level. The Ministries of Internal Affairs of two countries in combat against terror and the organized crime have achieved noteworthy results. Today, we shall discuss prospects of cooperation between the law-enforcers of Turkey and Azerbaijan, the help to strengthening of information base of the Azerbaijan police, creation of a police radio network. He also stated, that Turkey is very concerned that the lands of brotherly Azerbaijan still are under occupation. Turkey will continue to render Azerbaijan all support in this question”, he stressed.
Having noted, that Azerbaijan and Turkey are the brotherly and friendly countries, Ramil Usubov has told, that the basic purpose of his visit to Ankara consists in discussion of the forthcoming measures, directed on more reliable protection and safety of both peoples when the transnational and the organized crime in the world grows. The Ministries of Internal Affairs of Turkey and Azerbaijan during more than 10 years have data exchange in this area and in the further will carry out joint activity.
Then, the meeting took place in the expanded format with participation of representatives of both ministries.
Ramil Usubov has also met the Commander-In-Chief of the Forces of Gendarmerie of Turkey, the army general Ishyk Koshaner. At the meeting, discussed were the prospects of cooperation between Internal Troops of Azerbaijan and Forces of Gendarmerie of Turkey.
The same day, Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan has received the delegation headed by Minister of Internal Affairs Ramil Usubov.
As stated, on January 10, the delegation headed by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan Ramil Usubov, will go to Istanbul where will conduct a number of important meetings.
