ISESCO chief: I`m greatly honored to participate in Baku International Humanitarian Forum
Baku, November 2 (AZERTAC). Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri has said it is a great honor for him to attend the 3rd Baku International Humanitarian Forum.
Mr. Altwaijri, who joined “Multiculturalism and Originality: in Search of Value Consensus in Society” round table as part of the Forum, told journalists that Azerbaijan “is playing a key role in the intercultural and humanitarian dialogue”.
He touched upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, saying he backs peaceful settlement of the dispute with Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity preserved.
Mr. Altwaijri said official Yerevan must withdraw its military from Azerbaijan`s occupied lands.
“Territorial integrity of countries, within the framework recognized by the international community, is of critical importance in terms of ensuring peace and stability in the world.”
The ISESCO Secretary General said the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be solved as soon as possible, adding every IDP expelled from his native lands must return home.
Mr. Altwaijri called on the international community to foster cooperation and make more serious efforts in order to find a solution to the problem.
