‘Italy is keen to develop relations with Azerbaijan’

Vice-President of the Senate Linda Lanzillotta has said her country is interested in developing relations with Azerbaijan as he met with speaker of the parliament Ogtay Asadov in Baku.
Lanzillotta expressed her confidence that this visit will contribute to widening interparliamentary ties.
“Baku is a beautiful and modern city. We were admired with its modern architecture. All this demonstrates Azerbaijan`s development. Italy is the partner of Azerbaijan in the fields of economy, energy and culture,” Lanzillotta added.
Asadov hailed the two countries` political and economic relations. He said that up to now about 40 agreements have been signed by Azerbaijan and Italy.
The speaker praised the activity of the friendship groups in the two countries` legislative bodies.
