This latest gadget is the perfect little remote to your smartphone. It`s a ring which comes with a display to showcase all alerts from your smartphone and control the gadget like a remote. Resembling a plain old wedding band, the ring looks deceptively simple in design though half the accessory is made up of a display panel. The hardware buttons are seamlessly embedded in the ring with a slight elevation.
The Smarty Ring is capable of doing everything from remotely answering or rejecting calls, managing SMS and email alerts, managing your social networking updates etc. You can manage updates from Skype, Facebook, Twitter and Google Hangouts. Once the ring is synced with your phone, the minute you step beyond 30 meters without the phone, the ring sounds a beep to remind you that you`ve forgotten something. Also, you can set the ring to sound an alert if you cannot locate the phone. The tone and the volume of the alert can be customized.
The best part about the gadget? It is water-proof! However, the device is still only a ring and a smart ring at that. Naturally it runs on power. The lasting power of the smart-ring is 24 hours. Pretty pitiable considering it isn`t exactly convenient to keep charging your ring everytime. However, unlike other wearable gadgets, it might be easier to manage and definitely way more convenient. The ring also comes with a wireless charger as an accessory.
The Smarty Ring is compatible with both, iOS and Android and the gadget comes with an app to manage syncing. Furthermore, the ring also acts like an extended security system for your phone. You can sync the ring to track your smartphone if lost.
