KAZAKHSTAN CREATES TELECOMMUNICATION SATELLITE
Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Danial Ahmadov received Director General of the Russian Space Center Alexander Medvedev. The sides discussed issue on creation of the first telecommunication satellite in Kazakhstan.
According to the decision, recently adopted by the government of Kazakhstan, the space center will be engaged in creation and launch of this satellite. The joint project will create conditions for full use of opportunities of the Baykonur Space Center, training of specialists and application of new technologies in Kazakhstan. The Russian center is a leader in this sphere. It was Russia, where the “Ptoron” carrier rocket, orbiting stations “Salut” and “ Mir”, elements of the International Space Station were created.
