Kenyan representative commends Azerbaijan’s preparations for COP29

“The Azerbaijani government, especially His Excellency President of Azerbaijan is very supportive and has an understanding of issues that matter, including the issue of sustainability and the importance of green spaces. It shows that as a country, Azerbaijan is heading in the right direction,” Shaffie Weru, Director of Events and Communication for the Governor of Nairobi, told journalists.
Describing the COP29 preparations as impressive, the Kenyan representative said: “I hope that the event will be a success. I have seen the stadium when I was driving from the airport. It looks big and can be able to hold the numbers that will arrive.”
“For any country, whether it is in Africa or Europe, anytime when you have more than 50 heads of state coming to the country at any one time it is special,” he added, wishing Azerbaijan success in hosting COP29.
