KUNA employees visit Guba

Guba, August 22 (AZERTAC). Representatives of the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), including senior researcher Suha Al-Zanki and international relations researcher Dana Abduljalil have visited Azerbaijan`s Guba district.

Deputy Head of the Guba District Executive Authorities Afat Hasanova informed the KUNA delegation about the nature, people of Guba and the reconstruction work carried out here.

They also visited the Heydar Aliyev center in the Guba city. They signed the guestbook at the center.

The delegation also visited the Juma mosque and the Ancient Guba carpet factory and watched the carpet weaving process. They were given detailed information about the Guba carpet school.

The KUNA delegation visited the Guba Genocide Memorial Complex and Mass Grave. They were told that the mass burial site was found in 2007. The delegation was informed about the genocide committed by Armenians against Azerbaijanis in 1918.

The Guba Genocide Memorial Complex is a museum established with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The KUNA delegation signed the guestbook of the complex.
