KUWAIT AND HENCEFORTH WILL SUPPORT FAIR POSITION OF AZERBAIJAN
Having welcomed visitors, A. Hasanov has state that today the biggest problem of our independent country is occupation of a part of territory of Azerbaijan by aggressive Armenia and ousting of about one million people from the native lands.
During conversation, with feeling of satisfaction it has been marked that representatives of the State of Kuwait, its international humanitarian organization - Committee of Moslems of Asia since 1995 carry out activity in Azerbaijan and for the past period helped to our refugees at amount of 3,5 million US dollars. This assistance was, mainly, was spent for programs in the field of education and public health services, for needs of deprived people, refugees and IDPs, improvement of position of children - orphans.
The polyclinic open in Baku by the international humanitarian organization of Kuwait, renders services to refugees and IDPs, the vulnerable. This Organization has drilled in 14 districts of our republic where the need for potable water is felt, about 80 artesian wells. Visitors have been informed that the Committee of Moslems of Asia has come to Azerbaijan with kind intentions, prosecuted only humanitarian subject and was not beyond its own Charter.
The deputy prime minister, chairman of the State Committee on affairs of refugees and IDPs with feeling of regret informed visitors that the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorny Karabakh conflict proceeds already more than 16 years and has not found its decision up to date. During conversation, it has been underlined, that Muslim countries - members of the Organization of Islamic Conference including the State of Kuwait, constantly support the just cause of Azerbaijan.
During conversation it has been underlined, that, adhering to constructive position at settlement of the conflict proceeding long time, Armenia has remained away from the important international projects, which are carried out in this region.
It has been also noted that if the conflict will not be settled by peace way, by means of negotiations, how the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has declared, for maintenance of territorial integrity of our country all possible means will be used.
At the meeting A. Hasanov also has emphasized, that the truth is on our side. Nevertheless, we need to bring to the world notice, including up to the Arabian countries, the truth about Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan appreciates the cooperation with Committee of Moslems of Asia.
Having expressed gratitude for a meeting and the detailed information, Minister of Religious Endowments And Islamic Affairs of Kuwait Dr. Abdullah Maatouq Al-Maatouq said: “In due time and Kuwait has undergone aggressions. We on our experience know such aggression, refugee and IDPs problems. Therefore, we also shall support henceforth the just cause of Azerbaijan.
At the meeting, also was present Chairman of Clerical Office of the Caucasus Moslems Sheik ul-Islam hajji Allahshukur Pashazadeh.
