Lithuania is to host an international summit conference on energy in Vilnius, October 10-11, the reports said.

August 31 the president`s office has announced a tender on provision of conference services, the Lithuanian media reported.

The conference is expected to be attended by state or government leaders from Azerbaijan, Georgia, the UK, Kazakhstan, Poland, Moldova, France, Turkmenistan and Lithuania.

Arrangements for the conference will be launched in early October.

The likely agenda of the forum includes EU common energy policy, cross-border projects and energy independence challenges. A similar event was held in Poland last May.
