Los-Angeles trip of head of Nagorno-Karabakh separatist regime triggers protests
Los-Angeles, November 21 (AZERTAC).Head of the separatist regime in the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan Bako Saakian`s visiting Los-Angeles sparked mass protests.
Representatives of the Azerbaijani and Turkish communities gathered in front of the Pacific Club - where Saakian was going to speak - distributed leaflets and voiced protest over Armenian troops`s occupying Azerbaijani lands, ethnic purge of Azerbaijanis.
Armenia`s consul in Los-Angeles spoke about progress “Nagorno-Karabakh Republic” achieved on the path of self-determination.
For his part, Saakian welcomed the decision of the International Court of Justice recognizing independence of Kosovo, saying it opens the way for Nagorno-Karabakh in the future.
Head of the separatist regime takes part in an annual telemarathon on the occasion of the Thanksgiving Day in US.
The Armenia Fund will be accepting donations to improve irrigation system in Nagorno-Karabakh villages.
