Specialists of the Israel’s National Magen David Adom (The Red Star of David) Society (MDA) have started training courses in pre-hospital emergency services for members of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society (ARC) under the memorandum on cooperation signed between the two organizations on August 20, 2007.

Members of the Milli Majlis Novruz Aslanov said at a ceremony on this occasion that the four-day courses will give a new impetus to the cooperation between MDA and ARC.

Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan Arthur Lenk also attending the event said everyone, irrespective of his religion and language may need the first aid, informing that the Magen David Adom Society had been operating even before the state of Israel was established.

Afterwards, Israeli specialists Boris Kozokin and Namet Amir demonstrated emergency first aid techniques in ARC volunteers.
