Media partnership discussed in Tashkent

A meeting with leading representatives of Uzbekistan’s media was held at the Heydar Aliyev Azerbaijan Cultural Center operating under the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Uzbekistan.
The event was attended by journalists representing newspapers, news agencies, news portals, television and radio outlets.
Director of the Center Akif Marifli noted that the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have created a solid foundation for cooperation in the media sphere. He emphasized that as a result of the policies pursued by President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, special attention is paid in both countries to the development of the media and to enhancing journalists’ professional standards.
Akif Marifli also noted that for many years, at the initiative of the Center, media tours to Azerbaijan have been organized for representatives of Uzbekistan’s leading media outlets.
The meeting featured an exchange of views on expanding coverage related to Azerbaijan in Uzbekistan’s media, developing joint projects, and continuing the exchange of experience among journalists.
