MEETING AT MILLI MAJLIS
President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf arrived at the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan on 9 July. In front of the Parliament’s building the distinguished guest was met by Speaker of the Milli Majlis Murtuz Alasgarov, Vice-Speaker Ziyafat Asgarov, Chief of MM’s Administration Safa Mirzayev and other officials.
Speaker Murtuz Alasgarov and President Pervez Musharraf have held a one-on-one meeting focusing on expanding Azerbaijan-Pakistan relationship, deepening of inter-parliamentary relations, experience exchange between lawmakers and other issues of mutual interest.
Later, President of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf met with deputies of the Milli Majlis. The meeting began with an opening speech form Speaker Murtuz Alasgarov. Then, the Azerbaijani deputies were addressed by the Pakistani President. His big speech ended with the words “Long live Pakistan-Azerbaijan friendship and brotherhood!”.
