MEETING IN MILLI MAJLIS
Chairman of standing committee of the Milli Majlis on social policy, the head of working group on Azerbaijan-Greek inter-parliamentary relations Hadi Rajabli has met with the visiting members of Greece-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary group of friendship, 23 January.
Warmly greeting the visitors, Hadi Rajabli has noted, that Greece is one of the first states to recognize independence of Azerbaijan. The 10-year long diplomatic relations between two countries develops intensively. Visits of the President and official delegations of Greece to Azerbaijan have played special role in development of relations.
Chairman of the Standing Committee has in detail informed visitors on structure of parliament, division of power in Azerbaijan, the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh problem, the election process and other questions.
The head of Greece-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary group of friendship Harakopoulos Makhimos has thanked for interesting meeting, noting that Greece supports the peace and tranquility in region of Southern Caucasus, his country closely observes the activity of Azerbaijan in the international organizations. Having touched the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh problem, the visitor has expressed concern for quick settlement of the conflict.
