MEETING WITH IMF REPRESENTATIVE AT MILLI MAJLIS
In the meeting between the Chairman of the Milli Majlis standing committee for economical policy Sattar Safarov and IMF representative John Weakson, the sides discussed the actions taken towards poverty reduction in Azerbaijan. The IMF representative was thoroughly updated on the ongoing actions.
The sides touched upon regional development issues and pointed out that increasing volume of oil profits should be rationally used.
Chairman of the committee S. Safarov pointed out to the importance of tax differentiation in order to develop provinces. It could stimulate economic development of provinces. He also said that the interests should be lowered.
IMF representative agreed with Safarov’s views.
