Mexican Pavilion opened at WUF13

The Mexican Pavilion was unveiled on May 18 at the “Urban Expo” organized as part of the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13).
The opening ceremony was attended by Mexican government officials as well as Anacláudia Rossbach, Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat).
The event emphasized the significance of discussions taking place within the WUF13, focusing on measures aimed at creating human- and nature-friendly settlements. It was underlined that the pavilion reflects the principle of equal access for all to urban opportunities. It was further highlighted that the 14th World Urban Forum will be held in Mexico City in 2028, and that leveraging Baku’s experience in this process is of considerable importance.
The ceremony was followed by a tour of the pavilion.
The pavilion, where initiatives and best practices in sustainable urban development were presented, also examined opportunities to foster regional cooperation in preparation for WUF14.
