MIGRATION PROCESSES IN THE FORMER SOVIET SPACE DISCUSSED IN MOSCOW
Commenting results of the meeting, dedicated to the migration problems in the former soviet space, Vilayat Eyvazov said the visit was of familiarizing character.
‘As is known, ten months ago, under the order of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan the migratory service was created’, he told. ‘For short time it has been constructed and put in operation the central building of migration service and the analytical center on work with illegal migrants. We yesterday have familiarized with work FMS of Russia. And it is necessary to note, that Russia’s Service on a number of parameters concedes to the conditions created in Azerbaijan. It is pleased, that we could in short period create migration service, which successfully function. Nevertheless, the Russian Migration Service has sufficient experience of work with the foreign migrants and the goal of our visit to Moscow is to exchange experience with the Russian colleagues that is necessary for improvement of our migration system.
In the whole, in Azerbaijan, in comparison with Russia, the situation with organizing of work with migrants is not worse, on the contrary, in some directions even better.
Vilayat Eyvazon said during the working consultations with the head of the Russian FMS, Konstantin Romadanovsky, also discussed were the questions connected to the Azeri migrants. It was emphasized that between Azerbaijan and Russia, exist particular relations, founded by the nationwide leader of Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and which is continued by incumbent president Ilham Aliyev. On whole, these warm and good neighboring relations between two countries have impact also on the links among the country-fellows who reside in Russia’.
According to V. Eyvazov, it is necessary to strengthen the work on awareness of Azerbaijanis on necessity of observation of the established Russian legislative procedures of registration and rules of stay in the territory of Russia.
