Milli Majlis cannot interfere in courts proceedings; the courts are independent bodies, which must rely on supremacy of law while making decisions, said Speaker of the Azerbaijan Parliament Murtuz Alasgarov responding to the deputies objecting during the first sitting of the Parliament’s fall session on September 1 to the verdict executed by the Nasimi district Court on members of the Organization for Liberation of Karabakh /OLK/.

Armenian military officers arrived in Baku to participate in the NATO events. The OLK members’ lawyers will most likely address to the Court of Appeal, and we hope for a new decision. But the Milli Majlis’ interfere in this issue is unacceptable, Speaker said.
