MILLI MAJLIS TO FRUITFULLY WORK AT SPRING SESSION
Board member of the “Yeni Azerbaijan Party” /YAP/, Milli Majlis first deputy chairman Arif Rahimzadeh conducted a press conference in the Party’s headquarters. A. Rahimzadeh told of the Milli Majlis’s activity last year, plan of work for 2004 etc. He said that for the period of Milli Majlis’s autumn session 94 laws had been adopted and some amendments to the laws were made. Besides, the parliament reacted to some international issues. 1250 proposals, applications and complaints submitted for the period of the Milli Majlis session were considered.
A. Rahimzadeh expressed confidence in fruitful work of the upcoming session and noted that 26 laws are scheduled to be passed, some laws to be amended etc.
A. Rahimzadeh noted that Azerbaijan continues to build a legal, secular state in line with the ideas of the nationwide leader of Azerbaijani people President Heydar Aliyev. The bills passed at the Milli Majlis are up to international standards.
