Moldovan newspaper publishes article on recent international conference about territorial integrity of states
Chisinau, September 27 (AZERTAC). Moldovan newspaper “Ekspert novostey” has published an article authored by Olga Popa dedicated to the international conference entitled “Territorial integrity of states and ensuring human rights protection”. The author notes that the event held under the aegis of the Ombudsman of Moldova Aurelia Grigoriu was in the focus of public.
The event brought together politicians, diplomats, scientist, as well as representatives of civil societies from various countries, including Moldova, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Israel and Pakistan. Along with conflicts in Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Transnistria, the conferees have also discussed the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh. The major goal of the forum was to educate the world community on the fact that fundamental principle of international law – territorial integrity of states – may in no way be violated, and to attract attention of the civil society to promotion of ideas of tolerance and peaceful solution of territorial problems.
