MUNICIPALITIES: SOCIAL ISSUES IN SPOTLIGHT
The role of municipalities in socio-economic life of Azerbaijan is increasing day by day. Thus, Agsu municipality excels with its word and actions in different domains of city life. The possibilities stipulated by laws on municipalities, governmental aid allow sustaining the material base and implementing a concrete work.
In an interview to AZERTAG correspondent chairman of Agsu municipality Vagif Janiyev reported that 176 mln. 380 thousand AZM has been collected for the last three years 69 mln. 224 thousand of which has been spent on utility services.
The aid to refugees, IDPs, Garabakh war veterans, lonely and needy families is kept in focus of attention. 11 mln. 984 thousand manat has been assigned to these groups of people up to now.
