NEW DICTIONARY TO PROMOTE STUDYING STATE LANGUAGE OF GEORGIA
The dictionary was earmarked for pupils of the secondary schools and students of higher institutions, as well as for independent learners of the state language of Georgia. The edition was published by support of the “Open Society-Georgia” Foundation and Kvemo Kartli-Borchali governor Levan Mamaladze. Compiled by the Nasib Nasibov, Suleyman Suleymanov and Venera Changidze, the dictionary contains an active lexicon of the modern Georgian literary language, frequently used words and expressions as well as some archaisms.
According to S. Suleymanov, for the last time, taking into account the attention paid to learning Georgian language, “Georgian-Azerbaijani Dictionary” may be regarded as a great contribution.
