NEW PUBLIC MOVEMENT SET UP
On 4 July, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel was held the constituent conference of the public movement ‘In the name of Azerbaijan’.Representatives of the non-governmental organizations, public associations, all the trade unions, men of science, culture, literature and art, in the whole, representatives of 218 non-governmental and public organizations participated at the event.In his opening remarks, head of the initiative group of the new public movement, academician of NAS of Azerbaijan Akif Alizade, in particular, said: ‘It is known that a number of public organizations, political structures, as well as the ‘Yeni Azerbaijan’ Party nominated highly esteemed Heydar Aliyev to the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan. It should be noted that in essence, Heydar Aliyev is the candidacy of the whole people of Azerbaijan. The people know that Heydar Aliyev is the founder of the legal, democratic, secular state of Azerbaijan. President Heydar Aliyev is the savior of the Azerbaijani statehood’. ‘Conducting its constituent conference, the public movement ‘In the name of Azerbaijan’ states that it would fully support the candidacy of Heydar Aliyev at the coming 15 October presidential elections. The Movement will always support the national interests, decisively and unambiguously vote at the presidential election for Heydar Aliyev’, Akif Akizade stressed.
