The main source of drinking water in Gazakh region is the Agstafachay reservoir, created in 1971. Lately the river contaminated with domestic sewage and pollution of various industrial enterprise from the territory of the state-aggressor, flow into this reservoir situated on the border with Armenia. This means that serious pollution of reservoir of 120 million m3 of water is happening. The scale of ecological aggression can be easily understood if to take into account that the reservoir is used for watering of the areas under crop as well as supply with drinking water part of population of Gazakh town.

As AzerTAj was informed by the department of press and public relations of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, greenish color of the water in the reservoir and dense silt shows serious pollution here.

To investigate this situation, specialists of Gazakh regional administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources took specimen of water in the reservoir and held tested in the laboratories, at the same time sent the specimen to the Administration of Caspian complex ecological monitoring and Republican center of hygiene and epidemiology to hold analysis there as well.

In the result of these analyses, it was determined that reservoir underwent heavy chemical and bacteriological pollution. All these are the result of eco-terrorism and eco-genocide by Armenia, which is proved by the present condition of Agstafachay reservoir.
