OMBUDSPERSON MEETS WITH REPRESENTATIVE OF UNICEF
Congratulating the latter on the new appointment and wishing successful activities, the Ombudsperson noted that children’s rights hold very important place among the human principal rights and freedoms. She said under the UNICEF auspices, important programs aiming at protection of a child’s rights are being realized in the republic, and a number of upbringing and education, and health problems of the young generation had been resolved.
Mrs. Suleymanova also stressed the need for the UNICEF to concretize and improve its strategic plans, provide technical support to children’s resource centers, as well as for introducing amendments and supplements to the legislative documents related to the children’s rights, planning of joint activity, creating effective training modules, preparing programs aimed at instilling healthy life style and national spiritual values in students, solving the refugee children’s health care and educational problems etc.
On the occasion of the Knowledge Day, she suggested conducting joint events in children's homes and boarding schools on September 15.
Mrs. H. Singer highly valued the meeting and expressed hope for success on the new stage of cooperation.
