OnePlus 2 Smartphone arrives

OnePlus has officially revealed its next-generation handset, the OnePlus 2.
According to pcmag.com, marketed as the "2016 Flagship Killer," the new device is slated for an August 11 release; the $389 64GB model will launch in two weeks, ahead of a $329 16GB version.
As expected, the smartphone sports USB Type-C and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with 4G LTE.
The new Alert Slider, positioned on the side of the handset, allows users to switch between three notification functions: All Notifications, Priority Interruptions, and No Interruptions—"without having to unlock your phone or even take it out of your pocket," the website said.
StyleSwap covers, meanwhile, make it easy to change custom backplates—switching from the standard Sandstone Black to Bamboo to Kevlar in seconds. There are five different covers in total.
The next-gen smartphone also comes with a bottom-facing speaker, dual-microphone with noise cancellation, and dual SIM, as well as a 13-megapixel rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization and laser autofocus, and a 5-megapixel distortion-free front shooter.
Some of the phone's specs may look familiar, since a Chinese certification database last week leaked photos of the upcoming device, revealing details like the home button's fingerprint scanner, a relocated front camera, and the autofocus feature.
