OSCE CONDEMNS VIOLENCE IN ARMENIA
OSCE Office is alarmed with the violence in Yerevan and calls on all the parties involved to ease the tension.
The police in the very early morning of 13 April forcefully dispersed the citizens and journalists gathered in front of the National Assembly. Ambassador Pryakhin stressed that OSCE Office is paying particular attention to the fate of those detained and the condition of those who suffered injuries during the police operation, and to the question of the searches of the headquarters of the main opposition parties, conducted by the police. “These actions arouse concern of OSCE and we are confident that leadership of this country will continue implementing commitments accepted by Armenia when joining the organization”, the Ambassador added.
