OSCE FORUM FOR SECURITY COOPERATION HOLDS MEETING ON ANAMA’s ACTIVITY OSCE Forum for Security
OSCE Forum for Security Cooperation Wednesday held a meeting devoted to the activity of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) in Vienna, Austria.
The meeting attended by OSCE member countries’ permanent representatives, started with the demonstration of a documentary on the activity of ANAMA.
ANAMA Director Nazim Ismayilov spoke of the organization’s purposes, principles and directions of activity.
He noted territories with mine poses threat to the people’s life residing there, with preventing economic development.
According to Mr. Ismayilov, successful implementation of Saloglu project which aims to clear explosive devices in Akstafa region of Azerbaijan is underway.
ANAMA was set up in 1992 to conduct regular discussions and consultations on military aspects of security within the OSCE area. The Organization holds its meetings in OSCE-Headquarters in Vienna.
