PA BSEC CHARTER UNDER REVISION
A new Charter of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation /PA BSEC/ is being worked out. The reason, according to Milli Majlis member Asaf Hajiyev, is that big states hold a monopoly in the most structures of the organization that causes discontent among small countries. A number of delegations abandoned PA BSEC last year sittings in Istanbul and Tbilisi. So, the leadership of the organization decided to make alternations in the Charter. The working group has already prepared a new Charter, to be put on the Assembly’s mid-September sitting’s agenda. The newly prepared project will allow member states’ delegations to hold one of the high posts in the organization.
