PACE MONITORING COMMITTEE HELD IN STRASBOURG
Honoring of Azerbaijan’s obligations and commitments to the Council of Europe was on the agenda of a regular meeting of the PACE monitoring committee held Wednesday in Strasbourg, AzerTAj correspondent reports.
Speakers noted that Azerbaijan achieved substantial progress in honoring its obligations and commitments to the COE. A relevant report delivered by Andreas Herkel, co-rapporteur for Azerbaijan, contained amendments advanced by representatives of the country including proposals concerning the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The report was decided to be considered at the PACE spring session scheduled for April 16-20.
No issue on arrest of the Azerbaijan MP Huseyn Abdullayev was discussed during the meeting.
