PAKISTAN TO HELP AZERBAIJAN DEVELOP RELIGIOUS SCHOOLS
He was talking to Ambassador of Azerbaijan Dr Eynulla Madatli who called on him here and handed over a message of Minister for Religious Affairs of Azerbaijan Republic Rafiq Allyev.
The Azerbaijan minister congratulated Ejaz-ul-Haq on assuming charge of the ministry and said, "We need your guidance for promotion of religious activities in our country." He also invited him to visit Azerbaijan for exchange of views on development and promotion of religious Institutions is Azerbaijan.
The ambassador said the government of Azerbaijan has formed a religious committee to work with religious associations and said his country could take benefit from the experience of Pakistan.
He said Azerbaijan is interested in exchange of visits of Ulema, religious scholars and people related to religious institutions to promote Islamic education among people of both the countries.
Ejaz-ul-Haq said that there were 14,000 Deeni Madaris in Pakistan and more then one million students were getting free education, including boarding and lodging facilities, which is a unique social and religious service in the world.
