Speaker of Azerbaijan Parliament congratulated the Ambassador with successful ending of the parliament elections in Israel, expressing confidence that bilateral relations between two countries would develop and henceforth. The relations between two countries have always been good, the Jews lived in Azerbaijan in tranquility and welfare, he said. ‘So, currently, 5 synagogues and several public associations function in Azerbaijan. They play important role in development of relations between two countries’.
Expressing gratitude for kind words, Ambassador Lenk congratulated Ogtay Asadov on election as Speaker of country’s parliament. 'The State of Israel is keen in development of links with Azerbaijan', he stressed. 'We are aware of the attention and care for the Jews in the Republic of Azerbaijan. We hope these relations will further expand, we have every opportunity for this’.
