Bakcell - the First Mobile Operator and Leading Mobile Internet Provider of Azerbaijan implements the “AppLab” incubation program to support young and talented local developers.

Since the launch of program in 2014, local hardware and software developers are able to submit their ideas and get support from Bakcell. Many innovative projects developed by Azerbaijani developers with support of “AppLab” are already available for download to devices running on Android and İos, the company says.

One of such applications is “ARZoom” - a new generation marketing and advertising tool, designed based on augmented reality technology. It allows adding interactive Augmented Reality content to any printed materials. This multifunctional platform can be managed through both mobile and web management panels, and offers the users simplicity and vast possibilities. The platform also offers a “targeting” functionality, allowing direct access to the customers. Any company using this platform is able to introduce own products to selected audience in a special innovative way. This project has passed through incubation process at Bakcell’s “AppLab” center in 2017 and has been already downloaded over 5000 times from the Google Play and App store digital distribution platforms.

“ARZoom” was created and launched by Farid and Araz Davudov brothers and their team, using the advantages of Bakcell’s innovative “AppLab” center. The young local developers already have a first big customer, providing their augmented reality platform to a well-known Turkish furniture company for unique and innovative advertising services. However, the works on perfecting this app are continued and the team has recently added such new functionality as “location-based AR” and “Advanced image recognition”.

“ARZoom” along with other projects hosted by Bakcell’s “AppLab” was featured on Bakcell stand during “BakuTel – 2017” exhibition and attracted a lot of attention among the visitors.

Teams participating in the “AppLab” program of Bakcell are granted access to the company’s “AppLab” Center and provided with free internet access, desk and needed trainings, along with an opportunity to use the latest devices for developing and testing their products.
