PMs AMEND AND SUPPLEMENT LAWS
The Milli Majlis standing commissions on Natural Resources, Energy and Ecology and on Security and Defense Affairs held meetings on Thursday to amend relevant laws.
Members of the Commission on Natural Resources, Energy and Ecology Affairs made amendments to the Water Code, and the laws On Evaluation Activity, On Water Supply and Sewage, On Motor Roads, and On Hypothec as because of repeal of the Law on Public Service. Also amended were the laws On Entrepreneurship, On Privatization of State Property, On Notarial Acts and On Specially Protected Natural Territories and Objects.
The MPs recognized the amendments as expedient and decided to put both documents for discussion at the parliament.
Members of the Commission on Security and Defense Affairs discussed amendments to the Law on Status of Servicemen. They also considered the issues on making amendments and supplements to some legislative acts, and recognizing some others as ineffective in view of application of the law On Circulation of Narcotics, Psychotropic Substances and their Precursors.
The agreements between the governments of Azerbaijan and France on cooperation and assistance in the field of civil defense and security, and between the governments of Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates on military cooperation, that were also subject for discussion at the commission, were described by its members as meeting national interests of Azerbaijan.
They finally decided to submit the issues on the agenda for discussions at the plenary sessions of the Milli Majlis.
