President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the credentials of the newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus Gennadiy Ahramovich.
Ambassador Gennadiy Ahramovich reviewed the guard of honor.
Gennadiy Ahramovich handed his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.
President Ilham Aliyev then had a conversation with the Ambassador.
Then Azerbaijani President had a talk with the Ambassador.
Diplomat Gennadiy Ahramovich said hospitality and sincere attitude he was shown since he first came to Azerbaijan deeply impressed him.
The head of state stressed that Azerbaijani people have great sympathy for Belarusian people. Touching upon high level relations between the two countries and peoples, President Ilham Aliyev said there are sincere contacts between the heads of states and various institutions. The head of state said bilateral relations between the two countries are based on the principles of friendship and mutual assistance.
Saying there are many values bringing the two nations closer to each other, President Ilham Aliyev noted dynamic development of Azerbaijani-Belarusian ties in all areas in recent years. President Ilham Aliyev stressed the role of the Embassy in strengthening these relations.
The head of state expressed his hope that during his diplomatic tenure Gennadiy Ahramovich will actively work and spare no efforts towards defining new forms of cooperation.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Gennadiy Ahramovich underlined that a solid foundation was laid for active development of Azerbaijani-Belarusian relations and expansion of the cooperation in all areas. Gennadiy Ahramovich noted that he was instructed by President Alexander Lukashenko to considerably and dynamically develop the relations on the existent basis. The Ambassador noted he will spare no efforts to contribute to the development of the bilateral ties in all fields.
