All initiatives suggested and implemented by Azerbaijan and Turkey are accomplished successfully. We are satisfied with that, and I am sure that Turkey-Azerbaijan unity, fraternity will develop and strengthen even more, bringing positive results to our peoples and countries, and having positive impact on the processes in the region. Maintenance and restoration of stability and security in the region are high on the agenda. We have talked about it today.
I am certain that members of delegations worked in close contact and discussed the issues of mutual interest. There are many such kind of issues – both political and economic, energy, transport, security issues. The agenda is comprehensive and we sincerely discussed all these issues.
Welcome again!
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said:
- Dear President!
- Dear delegation members!
Of course, we, as the two fraternal countries, have taken fruitful steps over the past six years and will continue to do so. This determination is being continued. There is good development in all spheres including politics, military, economy, trade, culture, tourism. Important steps are being taken. We want to build and develop it in a more reasonable manner, notably, bringing influence to the region. In this sphere, Turkey and Azerbaijan are facing important tasks.
As we discussed with you, indeed, we place a serious emphasis on the Stability and Cooperation Platform in the Caucasus. We are satisfied with our unanimity in this sphere. I believe that, inshallah, we will have a chance to settle a number of other unsolved issues together. Our solidarity will bring results. We are expecting the hope from outside our region but there is no use of it. It means we will solve the regional problems ourselves.
Therefore, I believe our steps will be very fruitful.
