PRESIDENT SETS STIPEND FOR FAMILIES OF 20 JANUARY SHEHIDS
In an effort to improve social protection of the families of shehids (martyrs) died for freedom and sovereignty of the Azerbaijan Republic during the tragic event in January 1990, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev today has issued a Decree setting the “Presidential Stipend for Family of January 20 Shehid”.
According to the Decree, every shehids’ family will receive monthly stipend of 300 manats to be equally divided between its members. The stipend is assigned to be set aside and paid by the Ministry of Social Protection of the Population of the Azerbaijan Republic.
The Decree has been in effect from January 1, 2006.
