President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin telephoned President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on October 10.
The Russian President congratulated the Head of State on a confident victory in the presidential election, and wished him successes in his presidential activities for the Azerbaijani people`s welfare.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed gratitude to Vladimir Putin for his congratulations and attention.
The Azerbaijani leader and the Russian President hailed rapid development of friendly relations between the two countries in all fields.
They expressed confidence that the bilateral ties would continue to strengthen on all fronts in the years to come.
