As stated, on October 28-31, on the invitation of minister of national security of Azerbaijan, general - lieutenant Eldar Mahmudov, a delegation headed by the general director of Management of National Security of Hungary, general - major Lajos Galanbos has been on official visit in Baku.

Visitors and the minister of national safety, general - lieutenant Eldar Mahmudov, and also a group of employees of the ministry, having visited the Alley of Honors, have revered memory of the nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev, have assigned a wreath to his tomb. The delegation also has visited Alley of Martyrs, has assigned flowers to tombs of the brave fighters who gave their lives in struggle for independence and territorial integrity of Motherland, has assigned a wreath to the memorial “Eternal fire”.

On October 28, minister Eldar Mahmudov has received the ministry of the general director of Management of National Security of Hungary Lajos Galanbos and other members of delegation.

General - lieutenant Eldar Mahmudov in detail informed visitors on the structures again created recently in the ministry, carried out reforms and their effective results, the work done in the field of combat against illegal migration, illegal circulation of drugs, the organized crime, and also about present operative conditions in region and the factors rendering on it influence. Having stopped on the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the Minister has paid attention that occupied territories of the country and the 132-kilometer uncontrollable site of the said territory adjoining to the Islamic Republic of Iran, processes occurring here cause serious concern not only in region, but also in the European states. Having noted that Azerbaijan faces with display of the armed separatism, extremism, difficulties of military aggression of Armenia, general - lieutenant Eldar Mahmudov has told also about the measures which are carried out for suppression of threats of the international terrorism, being one more global danger. Having noted that from the point of view of position of Azerbaijan on the important geo-strategic space and the historical Silk Road, realization of important projects here, the country is subject to threats of the international terrorist organizations, he has emphasized that all these factors cause of adjustment and developments of partner relations with the interested states, and also expansion of data and experience exchange.

Having thanked for warm reception and the detailed information, Lajos Galanbos has noted that both countries, it is possible to tell, have simultaneously found the state independence, and that the Hungarian Republic gives great value to establishment of close friendly ties with Azerbaijan and relations of cooperation between all state structures. Having stated that his country is always ready to assist in integration of Azerbaijan into the European Union, he, at the same time has noted importance of association of all forces and the means directed on prevention of terrorism and extremism.

At the meeting, also were exchanged views on a number of other questions representing interest.
