RE-RUN ELECTIONS TO MILLI MAJLIS
BINAGADI DISTRICT. Heavy polling was observed in 30 stations in Binagadi second election district #9. All was done for the voting process to be fair, transparent and free - voters’ fingers were checked by ultra-violet rays, and then marked with indelible ink. Member of the Belgian Parliament John Eneri, Lawyer from Paris Inches Peiyen expressed their satisfaction with what they had seen in the polling stations. “Everybody wish to come and vote. All the observers are where they should be. All I saw pleased me; I have even made several notes and photos. I will give them to the organization I represent,” said the latter.
Bundestag representative Edward Lin who arrived in Azerbaijan through the Council of Europe, shared his impressions on what he observed in the polling station 13: “During the day I visited 9 precincts and witnessed the normal course of voting everywhere”
The deputy representing parliament of Switzerland in the Council of Europe shared what his colleague said: “Normal course of elections aroused good feelings”
The voters also expressed their satisfaction with the transparency of the voting.
According to chairman of the district election commission Nabi Khalilov, forieng observes visited all the precincts and conducted exit-poll.
Surakhany province. The political campaign was well organized in 28 precincts of the Surakhany second con# 31. Chairman of the district election commission Imran Iskenderov told AZERTAG correspondent that good preparation allowed to conduct very-well organized elections. All conditions for the free will were created for voters. 13 candidates were competing for one seat in the parliament. No serious violations were registered, voters are participating in the voting in an organized manner. International observers are monitoring the process. The representatives of the candidates, non-governmental are observing all the polling stations. Exit-poll was conducted.
According to chairman of the polling station No 11 Vidadir Mammadov, illegal actions were not allowed, election rules were fully observed.
According to member of the National-Liberal Party Salman Salam, independent observer Museyib Aliyev, elections were normally conducted.
Exit-poller Lala Arabova said elections were conducted very well and many voters came up to them and named the candidates whom they voted for.
Voters Rahila Mammadova, Ilgar Kerimov and Letafet Aliyeva said that they used their franchise without any pressure from any side and cast vote for their candidate.
GANJA. In 25 stations of the Nizami (second) election district #38 in Ganja, voters med choice among 13 candidates. According to chairman of the district election commission Ibrahim Jafarov, along with international observers, 309 local ones monitored the voting process. Vyacheslav Kudryavtsev, representative of the group of international observers from CIS in the polling station #13 located at the Ganja State University said: “No violation I faced here; the conditions created for the voters allowed them to freely express their will.”
GEDABEY. Te Gedabey election district #103 was monitored by 8 international and 526 local observers, as well as by representatives of 12 candidates. “Every condition was created for the persons who conducted exit-poll; they were freely doing their job, and no complaints were received from the polling stations,” said chairman of the by district election commission Haliga Hudaverdiyeva.
Agdam. Repeat elections to the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Republic in the Agdam province, frontline adjacent area, were conducted in the conditions of good turnout, voters’ belief in the happy future, soonest liberation of our lands from enemy occupation.
The build-up to the repeat elections in the Agdam village constituency No 119 was pretty good, the polling stations were provided with all the necessary equipment and all other problems were solved in due course. 36 thousand voters of the constituency had to make their choice among 14 candidates.
The elections were well organized in the refugee and IDP camps in Barda and Agjabedi provinces.
The elections were closely watched by local and international observers.
