The appearance of the Sumgait Juma Mosque situated between the sixth microrayon and Jorat settlement will be completely refreshed in two months. Juma Mosque complex had been comprised of old, primitive edifice for ritual ceremonies. However, the construction of the modern building launched in 1997 had not been completed.

At the initiative of the executive power of Sumgait, reconstruction works are progressing at present. “Atlant Inshaat Ltd” has undertaken this mission.

Top Sumgait executives and company’s management have familiarized themselves with the situation and determined the concrete plan of mosque’s full reconstruction. Architecture and Town-planning Department has been charged with the duty to prepare its engineering-technical project and model. As it has further become clear, all construction works have been carried out without observing regulations and principles of culture structures, ‘cause even when visually inspecting serious deflections can be easily detected.

During mid-day namaz, mosque parishioners have expressed gratitude for the attention paid to pious Muslims and hoped that their prayers will be heard by the Most High.
