ROUNDTABLE HELD IN OMBUDSMAN OFFICE
A roundtable “Public Relations: all ways go through mass media”, was held at the Ombudsman Office in Azerbaijan, July 16. Opening the event, Ombudsman of Azerbaijan Elmira Suleymanova congratulated media representatives with forthcoming Day of National Press – July 22, and informed that the Ombudsman Institution created with the purpose of protection of human rights and freedoms in Azerbaijan, draws particular attention in its activity to public relations and mass media. Following was the report of Head of the press service of Ombudsman Office Zemfira Maharramli “Relations of Ombudsman Institution with public and mass media”. She noted that since the beginning of its activity, the Ombudsman Institution was closely cooperating with mass media. Currently, 485 articles connected with activity of the Ombudsman Office have been published. The authors of six best articles were awarded with certificates and option money. In the course of discussions, the importance of further development of relations with media was particularly stressed.
