RUSSIA FOR STABILITY IN REGION
As chairman of Committee on CIS affairs and relations with compatriots Andrey Kokoshin informed journalists, and then during hearings the head of foreign policy department has told the members of parliament about the efforts undertaken by Russia on protection of its citizens, living in the Caucasus. As he said, Russia stands ready and had strong reasons to use a wide spectrum of legitimate means available at its disposal to defend health, property, honor and dignity of tens thousand of its the citizens living in territory of the South Ossetia and Abkhazia. He has emphasized that as Russia, and such states as Azerbaijan and Armenia, Iran and Turkey, are extremely interested in preservation of peace and stability in Georgia, in prevention of splash in violence, occurrence of a new stream of refugees.
