Onward the next year, the military arsenal of land forces of Russia will be filled up with new modern operational and tactical rocket complex "Iskander", AzerTAj correspondent reports.

Now the state tests of a new complex were completed and its purchase planned for the next year. Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Ivanov stated it at the meeting with the president of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The Russian minister has noted that the complex "Iskander” is a precision tactical complex with range of 300 kilometers. The said complex will equip a rocket brigade.

As was informed by the Russian mass media referring to Ministry of Defense of Russia, operational and tactical complex "Iskander" is intended for defeat of the purposes of the opponent from deep back. The warhead of "Iskander" can be equipped both with landmine and nuclear part. The important feature of the complex is that its air base carries two rockets. Besides, the volley can be carried out from distance and directly from cabin.
