Russian police to get futuristic devices

Baku, June 17 (AZERTAC). The Russian Interior Ministry intends to equip the police with an apparatus which can determine whether there are real people inside a room without going inside.

According to Deputy Interior Minister Sergei Gerasimov, the device does not carry the risk of radiation exposure.

Such devices can be of great benefit, especially for special operations and is of special interest to the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry.

In addition, according to Gerasimov, the police will also have as part of their arsenal more high-tech device designed to help in the fight against drunk drivers.

With the help of the so-called alko-lazer traffic police will be able to determine whether there is alcohol in a car without stopping the vehicle.

As noted by Gerasimov the instrument requires further testing, because the machine may sound an alarm if there is a drunken passenger but the driver may be sober.

The deputy minister stressed that no country in the world has such a device.
