SCIENTIFIC SYMPOSIUM DEVOTED TO AZERBAIJAN HELD IN PARIS
Chairman of Congress Javad Derekhti has noted the symposium, which has opened with an opening address that in the world lives more than 40 million Azerbaijanis. He spoke of activity of the compatriots abroad, on formation in many countries of Diaspora, has recollected struggle of people which have devoted their life to independence of Azerbaijan, highly has estimated merits of the outstanding leader Heydar Aliyev in the field of strengthening the Azerbaijan Diaspora.
In the statement, the ambassador of Georgia in France N. Japaridze has told about ancient friendship of Azerbaijan and Georgian peoples, has emphasized, that between independent Azerbaijan and Georgia have been created all-round, close ties develop, has noted the role of friendly relations of the heads of the states in it.
The deputy of the parliament of Georgia Kamal Muradkhanli, managing sector of the political department of Administration of the President of Azerbaijan Gafar Aliev, professor Pasha Galbinur, national actress Ilhama Guliyeva and others especially emphasized the role of national leader Heydar Aliyev in recognition of the Day of Solidarity of Azerbaijanis of the world, spoke about familiarizing with the European values.
Deputy of Milli Majlis, national poet Sabir Rustamkhanly has emphasized, that carrying out of similar actions has special value for popularization of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis among nations of the world, brings up to the international public of the truth about our country.
Chairman of the Center of Democratic and Strategic Researches of France Mr. Chevalier has reminded that this year he has twice visited Azerbaijan, last time in structure of group of the international observers of 25 person observed of the parliamentary elections carried out on November, 6.
Speaking about economic development of the country, Mr. Chevalier has noted, that rich natural resources of Azerbaijan for short term has won the big successes in all spheres, has expressed confidence that in the near future it will turn to a powerful and advanced state.
Last day of symposium, the participants have visited on Saint-Clue Cemetery, near to Paris, the tomb of chairman of parliament of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic Alimardan Bey Tophcibashov and Jeyhun Hajibeyli.
