Baku, December 24 (AZERTAC). When suddenly the lights go out due to a power outage in the dark, people have to spend a few minutes, fumbling in the dark looking for matches, candles or lanterns. But innovative LED lamps SmartCharge not be allowed to return to the XIX century. They are designed specifically to their users never sat in the dark. Special technology helps to determine whether a power failure occurs or someone intentionally turned off the light. In the first case the lamp for a few hours light will supply their owners.

Lamp power SmartCharge - 5 watts, it can emit a luminous flux of 350 lumens, a color temperature of 3000, 4000 or 5000 Kelvin and beam angle of 120 degrees. Built patented sensor network and off are able to distinguish from the normal power failure transfer switch to "Off."

When the grid is restored, the battery unit is necessary to six hours to fully recharge before the next possible failure. Rated lamp life SmartCharge comes to 40,000 hours, but a reliable battery operation is limited to 300-400 charge cycles, so that innovative light bulb will likely have to be replaced every 3-4 years.

The lamp is designed to operate at a voltage of 110-240 watts. Currently, the lamp base is compatible with standard connectors North America (E26), as well as Europe (E27), the UK and India (B22), but the inventors are currently working on caps, and able to work in other countries. SmartCharge brightness is not adjustable.

Work on this project began two years ago, and since then there have been many prototypes bulb before it got its present appearance and functionality. Suman is now set to promote his own invention to market. One bulb SmartCharge will cost $ 35 (a little more than 1000 rubles), already included in the price of the product delivery to the U.S.. Pack of two bulbs will cost $ 55, of four - $ 100. If all goes according to plan, deliveries will begin in April 2014.
