The agreement on adoption of the Indicative program of actions for EU’s TACIS program for 2004-2006 was reached in the course of the meeting between the national coordinator of the program, Minister of Economic Development of Azerbaijan Farhad Aliyev with EU officials in Brussels.

The parties came to an agreement towards assignment of €30 million euros to realize projects within the TACIS program, EU’s Coordinating Bureau for Technical Assistance to Azerbaijan said.

TACIS program provides the implementation of projects towards two directions: reforming of legal and administrative sectors of Azerbaijan and development of the private sector.

In particular, it is supposed to continue programs of modernization of the frontier management, prevention of human trafficking, development of administrative structure, retirement system and social aid as well as the development of the institutional system of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan.
