TAE FIBER-OPTIC CABLE LINE TO BE LAID .
The discussions are underway to lay a Trans-Asia-Europe (TAE) fiber-optic cable line via the Siyazan (Azerbaijan)-Aktau (Kazakhstan) route among Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Tukrye and Georgia.
The parties had meetings and discussions on this issue. A consortium will be created to realize the project with participation of communication agencies of Ukraine, Georgia and Turkey. Laying of TAE cable will allow establish direct link between Central Asia, Azerbaijan and Turkey. Azerbaijan will also have a chance to link with China through Turkey and Kazakhstan.
